Why 90-Days?

Addiction is a disease with physical, psychological, spiritual and relational components.

  • Just stopping the use of a drug doesn’t teach us anything about how to maintain sobriety.
  • It takes time to learn how to use the skills taught in treatment.
  • Longer term treatment provides the opportunity to learn and practice these skills.

The 90-Day Program is designed to allow patients to live in a sober community and benefit from structured care so they can practice what they learn about recovery.

The best friend a patient has in treatment is time.

National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA)-funded researchers found that, in general, the more time a person spends in treatment for addiction, the better

  • “Research indicates that for most patients, the threshold of significant improvement is reached at about 3 months in treatment”
