Licensed Professionals

Licensed professionals have distinct needs when seeking treatment for addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs. In order to retain their license to practice in a particular profession, doctors, lawyers, pilots, pharmacists, nurses and others may need to address particular administrative and treatment requirements made by relevant monitoring bodies and / or employers.

Length of Program 90 days
Ages 18 years-old and up.
Admission Days Patients are admitted to this program every day of the year.

The Betty Ford Center provides focused treatment for licensed professionals across all levels of care - particularly in Residential Day Treatment, where they attend special groups and lectures and live in a therapeutic community.  We also offer a Clinical Diagnostic Evaluation (CDE) for licensed professionals or individuals who need a diagnostic assessment to determine whether or not they meet the DSM-IV criteria for “Substance Dependence.”

Residential Day Treatment provides additional opportunities for patients to work on issues that could cause relapse.  Patients live in off-campus housing with roommates and participate in daily treatment activities.  Evenings and weekends provide opportunities for patients to structure recovery activities for themselves, such as attending 12-Step meetings that can contribute to long-term sobriety.
