CHAT ROOM RULES
This Betty Ford Center chat room service is provided for everyone's
enjoyment. This chat room service is not limited to Betty Ford
Center alumni. It is open to the public. Any misuse of the chat room will not be tolerated and can result in the offending user being banned
permanently from use of this feature.
Misuse is defined as:
1. Posting messages that contain racial slurs and hate messages.
2. Posting messages that contain cursing and foul language.
3. Any socially unacceptable behavior or comments.
4. Breaching the anonymity of any participant in the chat
room.
5. Soliciting funds for any purpose or advertising services
or products.
USER NOTES
All of the members of the chat
room will always remain anonymous to
each other. You will have the ability to log on as a guest,
in which your username will be in the form of "GuestX" where
X represents the number assigned to you based on how
many other users are in the chat room.
You will also be able to log on with a username/password
that you decide and, although this will not affect your
anonymity, you will have a registered username for posting
to the chat room. If you have any questions
regarding end user anonymity, please contact the Administrator for
more information.
To report abuse about an offending participant, please send an e-mail or forward
a copy of any offending off-group messages to the Administrator.
Please include as much information as possible about the identity of the participant
if you know it, including the person's guest number or username, the date and
time when they were chatting, the person's e-mail address if it is visible, and
any additional information you think would be helpful. We will examine the logs
and determine whether the person should be permanently removed from the chat
room.
